Adopted Boston Terriers

PictureName
Nappy / May 2008
Nappy, short for Napoleon, is a 3 1/2 y/o male who came to us in 2006 with his Boston friend, Lee, when their owner was terminally ill and needed to make arrangements for them. Nappy was returned to AZBTR in May 2008 when his adopters realized that Nappy needed more attention. Their busy lifestyle was not fair to Nappy and his separation anxiety surfaced again. We were happy to take him back and find him a more suitable home. Nappy now resides in Tucson with his new mom and canine sister who he adores and loves to play with. He is enjoying daily walks and his new mom says "he likes to flirt with everyone he meets". After talking to his new mom I am sure that Nappy has found his forever home.
Lucy / April 2008
Lucy is a 1.5 yr old female boston that was surrendered to us when his owner became ill and could no longer care for her. She is a cute little puppy with a sweet personality and just full of energy!! Lucy has been adopted by a family in Tucson. She shares her home with her new BT sister, Sophie. Lucy's new mom reports: "She is such a sweetheart and we are so happy to have her. She was a little reluctant to play much with Sophie (our first Boston) at first, but now they are chasing and tug-of-warring away! When she's not playing, she wants to be laying right next to me on the couch. I love having a cuddle buddy as Sophie has never been a lap dog. She is better than we ever hoped to get as a rescue and is a part of our family already!" Her new family is also working on some puppy behavior with Lucy and teaching her good manners.
Spike / April 2008
Spike is a 6 yr old neutered male who was surrendered to AZBTR because we were told he did not get along with the cats in his family. After evaluating Spike we found him to be fine with cats. He is currently in foster care with two cats, three other dogs, and Spencer the parrot and everyone is getting along very well. Spike is a very, very sweet boy in need of a major diet. His picture is very flattering, but he needs to lose at least 10lbs (I'd say more). Spike has been placed with the wonderful family who adopted little "Moe" (now Buster) from AZBTR last year. He also shares his home with older BT sister Louise.
Benny "Gooddog" / March 2008
Benny is a 10 yr old intact male who is being surrendered to AZBTR because of a new baby in the family. Benny has been extremely well cared for. We are told he is very friendly and LOVES to sing with you. He is quite active for a senior and loves to go for walks. Benny has been placed with the special couple who adopted Bugsy in October of 2007. Bugsy and Benny can be happy seniors together in their new home. We are thrilled for Benny!
Bubbles / March 2008
Bubbles and her brother Winky Dink were surrender together when the child in their home became severely allergic. They do not have to be placed together. Bubbles is a 6 yr old brindle and white female. We are not sure how she is with cats. We've been told she's quite laid back and likes to be a lap dog.
Winky-Dink / March 2008
Winky Dink is a 4 year old black and white male. He is your typical very playful boston, sometimes he can play rough. He is getting along with his foster sister and likes to play with her. We do not know how he is with cats.
Smooch / March 2008
Smooch" is a 9 yr old female Boston Terrier who was turned into AZBTR when her own passed away. How traumatic for a dog who spent the last 9 yrs loving her owner. When she came to us she was very frightened and confused, but as the days passed she began to come out of her shell. Now, after a week in foster care, she is quite the "velcro dog" to her foster mom. Smooch just wants to be loved. Smooch's new mom picked her up at our Easter event today. We wish Smooch the best of luck in her new home!
Buddy / March 2008
Buddy is a 6 month old male that was surrendered to AZBTR because his family does not have the time to dedicate to a active puppy right now. After just a short time in foster care, foster mom and dad have decided to make Buddy a permanent part of their family. Yet another foster family falls victim to BT cuteness!! Buddy and his new BT sister, Ruby, get along extremely well and are having tons of fun playing together. Congratulations to Buddy and to a very special family!
Max / January 2008
Max is a 7 month old male Boston Terrier. His family does not have the time to dedicate to him right now, especially with a new baby in the house. He loves toys, especially squeaky toys, so he'll need plenty of those to keep him busy. He is just a really good boy all in all! Max has been place with a family in the Gilbert. He is having fun playing with his new Boston Terrier brother, Sammy, who is still a puppy himself at only 1 yr old. Sammy and Max were instant buddies! There are also two young boys in the family who are enjoying their new pup! This is just the family that little Max needs. His new mom and dad are going to work on some obedience training with him to teach him some manners. Yay for Max!!
