Featured Success Story - September 2007

Find out how you and your Boston can be our next Success Story!

Sam spent a long time in our rescue in foster care. An 11 year old Boston Terrier is quite a challenge to place. Then along came this wonderful couple in Mesa who opened their hearts to Sam. We would like to share a special letter we recently received from Sam’s adoptive parents:

“We just wanted to drop a line to say hi and hope you are fine and busy at what you do so well. Sam now weighs 21 lbs, up from 15lbs. He did so poorly on regular food, as you know. So the vet put him on a veterinarian formula. He does not spit up any more.

Sam has calmed down into a very considerate and loving being, towards people and other animals. He keeps track of us in the house, and completes his own scheduled rounds several times a day. His favorite meal is Friday’s egg night. Sam dearly loves scrambled eggs. Other loved foods follow in his list. Of course, going on a ride is an exciting event. Sam’s manners are constantly improving. He is a joy.

Sam does his afternoon naps on the couch. He sleeps between us at night. He likes to be covered. Like us, he likes things to be quiet. He has become mostly deaf, but he is so sharp that he catches onto hand signs easily.

We hope that this “report” makes you feel good, as it does us, because Sam is so amazing – he has changed so much. But he still hates a bath…like a boy. We are constantly thankful to God, and the Club that you are a part of. We love each other so much.

Keep on keeping on, Sam’s Mom and Dad”
