Description: -Chloe-  This beautiful sweetheart of a girl was surrendered because she was being picked on by the other dogs in the home.  She is a petite little gal and she is deaf.  We think she's around 10 years old.  Chloe's foster mom says that she is the easiest foster she has ever had.  She picked up on the doggy door only after a few minutes of watching the other BT's in the home.  When she comes out of the kennel in the morning she vocalizes because she is very excited to see you.  She loves going for walks and is a total love bug.  She will make someone a very happy person. Description: -Sally- Sally was picked up by Maricopa County as a stray and spent 4 days at the shelter scared and alone in her kennel.  She was unclaimed by her owners so AZBTR stepped in and rescued her. She picked up the nickname of stink eye Sally from the photo county had of her.  She is a happy go lucky girl who just wants to be near people.  Sally has a very smooshie mug and therefore is a snorter and probably a champion at snoring.  She is estimated to be around 8 years old.  She has a happy trot and will follow you everywhere.  She loves to be petted and is a great kisser. Sally will tolerate some dogs for a short period of time only so she will need to go to a home without any other dogs. Click for more information...

Description: -DEXTER- was found running the streets of Gilbert right after Christmas 2012.  No one came forward to claim him.  He had no chip or tag.  The finder has decided AZBTR is the best option for this special BT.  Here is what his Foster Mom Says: Dexter and his fosters brothers play every night. Every morning he is ready to pounce and catch a bird. (Although I don't encourage it, still funny to watch.) Dexter, loves to cuddle and sleep under a blanket When he runs he looks like a normal dog, when he walks you can see the shuffle in his step. Occasionally you may see him standing on the top of his back feet, it takes awhile for him to correct it. This does not bother him, and currently has not become worse. Dexter does walk and pee. Also walks and poops. I keep baby wipes by the back door and wipe if his front legs as needed. Description: ***ADOPTION PENDING***-EDDIE (Haskel)- Hello everyone, my name is Eddie, I'm a 6 month old Brindle boy who is working on my potty training. Sometimes I get to playing and forget that I have to go potty so I need to be reminded often.  I have learned that the crate is not such a bad place to hang out during the day after all.  I am full of energy and my mom says I am a very naughty boy sometimes.  I like to play play play....sometimes I think my foster brothers get really annoyed with me.  I need lots of toys and lots of interaction with my people to keep me busy.  If I don't have toys or anyone to play with, I chew on shoes or anything that feels good on my baby teeth.  I want to be a good boy but sometimes I forget. I like going for walks and I act really tough by barking at the dogs behind fences and the people walking by.  I am a little scared when new people come over but once I get to know them they are all ok with me! Description: Ms April is new to AZBTR and underwent a spay and is healing nicely.  She is 6 yrs. young, and a bit on the thin side at 27 lbs.  It was clear she had been bred so she will need some time to get her reserves back.  She had an open wound on her shoulder from her time on the streets that was taken care of during her spay.  Her foster mom says that she is adjusting well to life off the streets.  She is crate trained, potty trained and loves food!  She gets along well with other dogs and is not phased by the cat in the home.  She is a door dasher and will need to be watched around open doors. She is goes crazy for tennis balls and will jump, lunge and try to nip for toys you may have in your hand.  Because of that she will need to go to a home with no small children.  Otherwise, if there is no food, balls or toys to get her excited she is a champion napper.  Won't you find room in your heart for this beautiful girl? I'm Johnny Cash!  Johnny Cash was not doing well with his family so they surrendered him to AZBTR.  He is a very sweet boy but gets very excited when there is too much action going on around him.  Because if this, he will not be placed with a family that has children or a family that will have children visiting.  He is a very sweet and loving boy and gets along well with his BT foster brothers and sisters.  He must be placed with an experienced adopter that is familiar with training and correction and is also familiar with how to re-direct a dog's excitement to become more behaved.   Click for more information...

Description: ***ADOPTION PENDING***-ELVIS - Is in the building!!  This sweet 2 year old guy was found wandering the streets of downtown Mesa.  A good Samaritan picked him up and proceeded to go door to door looking for his owners.  No one came forward so they put him in the care of Pittie Me Rescue.  Pittie Me Rescue felt that it was better for Elvis to be taken care of by AZBTR and they released him to us.  Elvis is a loyal and special boy, he is quiet when you are quiet and he plays when you want to play.  He likes to play with toys by himself and he will sometimes wander off to a quiet place in the house to sleep.  He loves people and is very social with other dogs.  He is crate trained and has had no accidents in the house.  We feel that Elvis will do best in a home where he will be the only dog or with an older more mature dog.   Click for more information...

Description: Reebok came to us from Tucson and after his vet check he went to his foster home.  After a week of being there, his foster mom has nothing but good things to report.  Reebok loves to play with his foster brother Thor WWF style or a good game of tug, they are best buds.  To Reebok, everyone is his best friend and he loves to make friends.  He is also good with cats.  We feel that Reebok will do well in a home with other dogs to play with but we will see.  Won't you give this guy a great home? Description: -FLOYD- came to us from Pinal county shelter where he was listed as a stray.  Floyd needs some TLC because he has a double cherry eye.  You will see from the picture he is not looking at you with beady eye's that is severe cherry eye that will require surgery to fix.  Floyd will be going in for his neuter on Wednesday and they will be fixing his cherry eye as well.  He will need some time to heal before he is available for adoption.  We will update photos once he looks better.
