Tony came into rescue from the Tucson shelter in November.  This sweet 8 year old 30 pound Boston gets very excited when handled with touch especially to the head because he's such a love and blind from hypermature juvenile cataracts that require daily eye drop medication.  His veterinary opthomologist observed that Tony has been blind for a while so he appears well adjusted to it.  We would have to agree with that as after one month he's got his foster's house and yard figured out to the extent of even being able to find and use a dog door on his own.

Tony does pretty well on a leash with direction and his foster has been taking him on long 3 mile pack walks with others.  Tony is not reactive to other dogs and has been doing well with the foster's female dogs.  Tony crates well in his big crate which he will willingly enter with some direction.  Some folks will tell you about how well their blind dogs can get around in their homes and yards, and Tony is just like that!

Tony is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and will come licensed (in Maricopa and Pima Counties).  He is also neutered and the vet excised a low grade tumor (per lab report) during that procedure.  Other than his eye meds, Tony is otherwise healthy and does not appear to be 8 years old, which was a shelter guess.  He'd make a great addition to your loving home!
