***ADOPTION PENDING*** VERA- This sassy girl found herself wandering the streets in the west valley where she was taken in by the Arizona Humane Society.  She was not in the best of health which is why we were called to take her in.  She's had all of her vaccines and she is spayed, we estimate her to be around 7 years old.  She does have cataracts which limits her vision without high-contrast or movement. Sadly, one of Vera's eyes was blind due to her long-neglected glaucoma.  Since the eye was extremely painful, it was removed and she has healed nicely.  While her vision is not the best, her ears and sniffer work very well!  She loves attention and cuddles and is eager for good treats. Her coat is in good condition and she enjoys bath time.  We've learned that Vera cannot live with cats and because she bonds to the person(s) in the home, would prefer to be the only companion animal.  Frisky and active dogs make her nervous and make her feel the need to 'supervise'.  She's dainty, loving and wants nothing more than to be held or be on your lap--a perfect little BT!  **UPDATE**  We are excited to announce that Vera's surgery went very well. Pressure in her eye is normal and we will see how she has gotten her stitches out.  She will need another vet visit to determine everything is okay and then she will be ready for her forever home.
